Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Position Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work under the supervision of a BCBA to provide direct ABA therapy to clients. This role involves implementing treatment plans, collecting data on client progress, and collaborating with families and other team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Therapy Implementation: Deliver one-on-one ABA therapy sessions to clients, following individualized treatment plans developed by the BCBA.
Data Collection: Accurately record data on client behaviors and progress during each session, ensuring detailed and precise documentation.
Program Adherence: Implement behavior intervention plans consistently and according to the guidelines provided by the supervising BCBA.
Client Interaction: Build positive and supportive relationships with clients, using reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors.
Family Collaboration: Communicate effectively with families, providing updates on client progress and offering guidance on reinforcing skills at home.
Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and supervision to maintain RBT certification and improve therapeutic skills.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all sessions are documented accurately and timely, maintaining compliance with clinic policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field preferred).
• Current RBT certification or willingness to obtain certification within 60 days of hire.
• Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, compassion, and a strong desire to help others.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality.
